Tom Cruise is one of my least favorite people in Hollywood, but I thought his performance of Ron Kovic was done very well. Having seen a few of Tom Cruise’s older films now, I can’t help but see a resemblance between him and Jesse Eisenberg. Their voices have a similar tone and they often make the same facial expressions and have very similar mannerisms in their films. The character of Ron Kovic annoyed me. I didn’t like his transformation from the beginning of the film to the end. Overall, I thought the film was done well; I thought the casting was good and because of this the acting, too, was good. Even though there were times when things moved slowly, I felt that each scene was done in a fashion that kept the film interesting. Certainly not my favorite war-related film, but not too shabby. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0096969/
