This is, in my opinion, the best Christmas film of all time; it is, without a doubt my favorite Christmas film of all time. Like many holiday related films, A Christmas Story presents the audience with a feel-good story. What makes this film different from others is the means by which we arrive at the films denouement. The film is full of mildly raunchy humor and has an overall phenomenal story. I’ve seen this film at least one hundred times and I’ve laughed every time I’ve watched, without fail. The scene about thirty minutes in, that depicts Ian Petrella’s Randy eating his dinner like a “piggy” is hilarious. One of the things that I believe makes this film so great is the fact that most people can relate to Peter Billingsley’s Ralphie want for a specific gift for Christmas (or at any point during the year). Most people can remember a time when they greatly desired a specific gift when they were a child, and the fact that they can identify with Ralphie in this film helps to make the film even more enjoyable. I honestly cannot think of a scene in this film that I don’t enjoy or find at least slightly funny. If you haven’t seen this film before, you need to rectify that issue. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0085334/
