This is, by far, one of the strangest films I’ve ever seen. I was genuinely confused about a number of things that took place in this film. For example: in a world where a lamp and a toaster don’t need an energy source to operate, the vacuum, their source of transportation, is unable to move without being plugged in. I realize this is a kid’s film and it doesn’t necessarily need to make sense, but Jerry Rees and the writers should have expected adults to watch with their children and pick up on these issues. I think part of the reason I struggled to enjoy this film was the fact that I’ve never seen it before. If I had seen this when I was younger, I think I may have appreciated it more now. I find the title of he film interesting; why did they choose to put the toaster in the name? Each one of the main characters committed an act of bravery at some point in the film. This wasn’t a bad film, it just really wasn’t my cup of tea. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0092695/
