Cellular (2004)

This is one of the more underrated films that I’ve seen. This film has a pretty incredible cast considering it was a film that did quite horribly in theaters. A cast consisting of Chris Evans, Kim Basinger, Jason Statham and William H. Macy is nothing short of star-studded. While the storyline is a bit wonky, I seriously enjoyed it and thought that the story was paced nicely and the film, as a whole, moved along well. Some of the lines in this film were cheesy, but due to the fact that it was a low-budget film (which technically has nothing to do with it, however it seems that lower budget films typically don’t have the best writing; my guess is that this is due to the inability to hire Hollywood’s strongest writers) the dialogue wasn’t as bad as it could have been. I always find it fascinating to see where the one allotted “f**k” is used in a PG-13 film. While the use of the word in this film served little to no purpose in the grand scheme of things, I found its use hilarious to say the least.
