This is one of my favorite Disney films; it’s full of fun, adventure and great characters. The cast in this film is phenomenal and the edition of other Disney stars playing incredibly similar roles in this film made it even more fun. Larry the Cable Guy’s Mater is, without a doubt, the best character in the film. He was consistently funny throughout the film and was the perfect balance for characters like Owen Wilson’s Lightning McQueen, Bonnie Hunt’s Sally Carrera and Paul Newman’s Doc Hudson. There are a number of personalities that mesh incredibly well throughout the course of this film. Directors John Lassiter and Joe Ranft do an excellent job of introducing their audience to a less than enjoyable character in McQueen and leading us down a road that has us appreciating his every move and truly enjoying his character.
