Like other Stephen King based films, this film is outlandish and creepy. While the film is a bit crazy and the story may not be relatable on the surface, after digging just a bit deeper there is a level of understandability for anyone and everyone who has gone to high school. The film contained many unknown actors and each of them did a good job of portraying their characters. Julianne Moore’s performance as Margaret White was creepy, twisted and incredibly believable. The theatrics throughout the course of the film were done very well and the use of camera angles (particularly when Carrie returns home after the prom) just added another dimension of twisted.
