Captain America: Civil War (2016)

Writer's picture: Kyle BainKyle Bain

This is, without a doubt, the best film in the MCU so far. Due to the amount of lead cast members, this almost turned into an Avengers film. Bringing Paul Rudd in to continue his roll as Ant-Man in this film was brilliant, as his chemistry with the other characters was incredible. The casting choices of Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther and Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man were nothing short of perfect. I find it interesting that Marvel appeared to go in very different directions in casting these two. They took a well established actor like Boseman and a basically unknown actor like Holland and gave them two of the best roles in the MCU. Side note: T’Challa is one of the most persistent human beings in the history of mankind. For the first time, the viewers were able to see Mackie’s Falcon and Sebastian Stan’s Bucky/Winter Soldier on the same side. Although they didn’t have much dialogue together, what words were exchanged between the two were hilarious. There was never a dull moment throughout the course of the film. The action scenes in this film were incredible; especially the scene at the airport. The airport scene was, without a doubt, one of the coolest, lengthy and best choreographed fights in the history of film. The story was one of the best of the film franchise and was certainly the most intriguing. I’ve seen this film at least a dozen times and I’m still not bored of it. I get excited each time I watch it, like it were the first time I was seeing it. This goes to show that the Russo brothers truly are incredible writers and directors. Watching this gets me excited for the upcoming Avengers films. With the Russo brothers at the helm, they are sure to be nothing short of amazing. http://m.imdb.com/title/tt3498820/
