Bruce Almighty (2003)

This film may be Jim Carrey’s best film. I think Carrey’s sense of humor in this film is far superior to any other film he’s been a part of. It seems that his chemistry with Jennifer Aniston is great and I felt that the combination of their characters—Bruce Nolan and Grace Connelly—respectively, was fantastic in this film. It was interesting to sit here and watch Carrey’s character as Steph and I both found similarities between him and I. As usual, Morgan Freeman played a fantastic character. This story was phenomenal and it had great meaning behind it. There were a number of funny scenes throughout this film, but one of the most iconic scenes in the history of comedy takes place between Jim Carrey’s Bruce and Steve Carell’s Evan Baxter as Baxter attempts to present the evening news and speaks gibberish, farts on the air and says some of the most ridiculous things in the history of news anchors.
