This film consists of a great story, an all-star cast and phenomenal acting. This film induces a slew of emotions; emotions such as anger, happiness, confusion, hopelessness and thankfulness (along with a number of others). The film constantly pulls you in different directions; you never truly know how to feel about a character or his/her actions. Each of the three main characters, Tobey McGuire’s Sam Cahill, Natalie Portman’s Grace Cahill and Jake Gyllenhaal’s Tommy Cahill, develop over the course of the film—some for better and some for worse. McGuire (who is one of my favorite actors) puts on one of the best acting performances I’ve ever seen in a film. His character changes so dramatically from the beginning to the end of this film, and his performance makes it completely believable. Along with these three very well known actors, Bailee Madison (who I typically cannot stand) did an excellent job in this film. Even though her role is small, she is pivotal at certain points in this film. This film, as a whole, was captivating and enjoyable in just about every way. This is a must-see film. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0765010/
