Back to the Future (1985)

I have purposely avoided all three of the Back to the Future films for as long as I can remember. I felt that these films looked uninteresting. I have to say, however, this wasn’t as bad as I’d expected. Michael J. Fox’s Marty McFly actually seemed like a pretty cool dude. His character was interesting, funny and relatable. I did have issues with most of the other characters. Crispin Glover’s George McFly and Christopher Lloyd’s Doc Brown were two incredibly annoying characters. George was terribly whiny with little to no positive qualities. Doc, in general, was annoying. I didn’t care for his attitude, his personality and, generally, everything about him annoyed me. For this film only being rated PG there were an incredible number of curse words, racial slurs and terribly suggestive actions taking place on screen. Today, this film would have been, at the very least, rated PG-13. I have to say though, I enjoyed the story and the film. I’m almost sorry I waited this long to watch it. http://m.imdb.com/title/tt0088763/
